The main purpose of this event is for us to meet and get to know each other. Previous attempts at starting this meetup have not fared well, so I'm hoping that we'll figure out the right chemistry that works for us. After all, you get to shape what we do!

To brake the ice and get things started I'd like to talk about something that touches every Java developer... and that's (ta-da) testing! Boring? Yes. Important? Even more so!

More specifically, I'd like to talk about TestNG, a new testing framework for Java. Ok, it's not that new, but for many of us that are used to jUnit, TestNG is considered to be a new kid on the block. The aim of this discussion is to explain what TestNG is, how it compares to jUnit, and how to take advantage of its cool features to make testing more enjoyable.

For those of us that survive through the TestNG, we'll also discuss topics of interest for the future events.

Update: Date changed from Tuesday, February 5th to Monday, February 11th at 6:30pm to avoid coinciding with California State Primaries.
